Conversational Model Therapy
A Compassionate, Relational Approach to Deep Healing
At Radiant Group, we offer Conversational Model therapy as a gentle, structured, and profoundly relational way of working with complex trauma, dissociation, and long-standing emotional difficulties. Rooted in attachment theory and modern psychodynamic understanding, this approach fosters a safe, relational space where healing unfolds through authentic, emotionally attuned dialogue.
What Is Conversational Model Therapy?
Conversational Model (CM) therapy focuses on supporting the development of the self, particularly in areas where early trauma, relational wounds, or overwhelming life experiences have impacted emotional growth. Many people who come to therapy feel disconnected from themselves, unsure of who they are, or struggle to make sense of their emotional world. CM therapy gently supports rebuilding a more cohesive, stable, and authentic sense of self over time.
Through consistent and reflective dialogue, this model helps clients:
Deepen self-awareness and self-compassion
Strengthen their sense of identity
Regulate and understand difficult emotions
Heal attachment wounds
Move from patterns of survival into patterns of connection
Who Is It For?
Conversational Model therapy is beneficial for individuals who:
Struggle with emotional numbness or feeling "cut off"
Experience difficulties in relationships or with trust
Feel unsure of who they are or how to express themselves
Live with the effects of complex trauma or dissociation
Are seeking a thoughtful, depth-oriented therapy that supports long-term growth

How It Works at Radiant Group
At Radiant Group, Conversational Model therapy is offered as a structured 10-week program grounded in Short Term Dynamic Interpersonal Psychotherapy (STDIP). This model supports emotional healing through thelens of interpersonal relationships, helping clients make meaningful shifts in how they relate to themselves and others. Throughout 10 weekly sessions, you'll work one-on-one with a clinician trained in both CM and STDIP.
The therapy focuses on:
Identifying and understanding recurring relational patterns
Gaining insight into how past relationships shape present emotional experiences
Increasing emotional awareness, language, and expression
Building a stronger, more integrated sense of self within the context of a relationship
Practising new ways of relating—with yourself and with others—in real time
This Program Offers a Focused and Transformative Therapeutic Space
Each session is designed to build on the last, helping you move from insight to integration. Whether used as a standalone intervention or the beginning of a longer therapeutic journey, the 10-week structure provides momentum, containment, and clear therapeutic direction. You don't need to have it all figured out to begin. This work meets you where you are—with compassion, structure, and deep respect for your story.
